morals in marbles...

Let me tell you about something that could help you keep a good perspective on your priorities.

The average person lives about seventy-five years. I know, some live more and some live less, but on average, people live about seventy-five years. Multiply 75 times 52 and you come up with 3900, which is the number of Saturdays that the average person has in their entire lifetime.

Buy one marble for each Saturday, put them all in a jar and keep it some place you will see it all the time. Every Saturday take one marble out and throw it away.

By watching the marbles diminish, perhaps you will focus more on the really important things in life. There is nothing like watching your time here on this earth run out to help get your priorities straight.

Be thankful for every week that you have and feel blessed when you get one more.

You don’t have to go out and buy 3900 marbles. Start with a thousand maybe. And when the marbles run out, hopefully the lesson will stay with you.
