de moi à toi

Remember when we pondered over how the slipperiest ice is usually right in front of us? Hope you paid heed to my advice. Nothing like a little table salt to conquer and prevail.

But when the cold wars have thawed out and the ambience is still chilly, the best way to keep warm in winter is la chaleur de l'amour.

Oui!  You read right. Unexpected, unanticipated, long-standing or familiar; liaison amoureuse will leave you feeling warm and tingly long after the fire coals have burnt out. Talk about chaleur enflammée!

Pay attention sweethearts.

Magiques!

Excusez-moi for addressing you in French but you have to agree, the topic of discussion calls for it.

If you have someone in your life that makes la vie all feu feu then count your blessings and hold on to them tight.

L'amour fait les plus grandes douceurs and I wish it for each and every one of you.

Bisou bisou.

choice, chances and change...

Transitions in life are usually marked by major events: birthdays, graduations, weddings... But the greater transitions often come out of smaller moments, when we stop and look at who we are. because each time we see how far we have come, we also see how far we still have to go.

In order to fully transform, we might need to free ourselves of everything we’ve been holding on to, to send us on our new path, the right one. Sometimes in life we hit a crossroad and are forced to choose which path we want to take. And there's no way of knowing if our journey will lead us to pleasure or pain.

But if at the end, you find the person you have become is not the person you want to be. You can always turn around and try again.

He who sows the wind, reaps the storm.

They say it's easy to forget your troubles when the weather's warm. But all it takes is one icy breeze to blow reality right back in your face. Yes folks, it’s frosty out there and I don’t mean the weather.

This winter, even though we bundle up, a cold shoulder can freeze us out. Sometimes a ray of sun shines in and gives us hope. But in life, you may stand down but you can never give up. The bitterest feuds are always labours of love... And our most dangerous enemies are the ones we never knew we had... So if you want peace, always be prepared for war.

The best-loved maiden in town would perish with anguish should she hear all that her friends say in the course of a day. We cannot control the evil tongues of others; but a good life enables us to disregard them. Remember the bitches are only powerful when your back is turned and real friends… don’t carry knives.

And when all is said and done, I know just what will cheer you up and help you thaw out… Karma :)

We sow what we reap... We reap what we sow. The rule of cause and effect. And we are ALL under this law. There’s no escape for them.

Everybody gets what they deserve.
So sit back and enjoy ;)

All love begins and ends with her

I learnt firsthand today that a mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavour by her kind guidance and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

No matter how much we argue at times, I know no one can ever take my mother’s place in my heart. She has always told me to do the right thing. My greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. Forever ready with the best advice and wisest of lessons. She has taught me so much.

Interestingly, today happens to be her birthday, so ofcourse, my post is dedicated to her (and all mothers out there).

I was in tears all night lastnight because yet again I was handed a colossal dose of betrayal. Its so true what they say, “Fake friends are like autumn leaves, found everywhere.”

But one tight hug from Mum this morning along with the prayers she blessed me with, made it all easier to handle.

Everybody knows that a good mother gives her children a feeling of trust and stability. She is their earth. She is the one they can count on for the things that matter most of all. She is their food and their bed and the extra blanket when it grows cold in the night; she is their warmth and their health and their shelter; she is the one they want to be near when they cry. She is the only person in the whole world in a whole lifetime who can be these things to her children. There is no substitute for her. Yes, a mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.

You are the world to me, Mum. Happy Birthday. I love you.

this too shall pass

I’ve decided to stop posting everyday. Truth is I hardly find the time and I don’t want to post things just for the sake of it.

Life is crazy hey.
One minute I’m loving it. Next minute I’m stressed. At times I want things to stay just as they are. Then I want drastic change. Happy. Sad. Content. Unfulfilled. Pleased. Disappointed.

I don’t what’s going on anymore. How to feel. What to think.

On the one hand, you have complete strangers who stop what they doing to help you check the roads and guide you through traffic. They remind you of all the good in the world and leave you smiling and feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

Then you have friends whom you trust and love, that when push comes to shove, will drop you for an iPhone. And your head is like: “Screw you!” but your heart is not wanting any animosity.

So basically everything comes down to the crazy. Torn between two conflicting emotions. Which one do you go along with? Which one will pass and which one will you regret?

I guess the basic rule is: never speak in anger, don’t let your emotions control you and always think with a clear objective mind. Learn from the past. Trust your instinct.

If you're in a bad situation, don't worry it'll change.  If you're in a good situation, don't worry it'll change.  ~John A. Simone, Sr.

Nothing’s constant. If you make a mistake, you can move on from it, you don’t need to trap yourself in a world of "what ifs" and regrets. And because everything changes, don’t tussle to keep things the way the were. No good will come from being stuck in the past. Change the way you perceive the situation by embracing the new.

Because everything doesn’t just happen for a reason. Everything happens for a GOOD reason. God is All-Wise and All-Just.

And I will be the first to admit I find it difficult to stay optimistic at times, especially when the people who are supposed to hold you together, crush you.

But I know when I stop feeling miserable and stop missing the people I thought they were; I will experience an incredible sense of freedom. Liberated from all the selfishness and lies and deceit and superficiality and overall toxicness that they hide beneath their façade.

Before I go, I must thank the handful of friends who proved their dependability and allegiance to me in the sweetest, cheekiest manner yesterday. I love you guys.
