Every now and again I lose my focus on the
bigger picture and go off on a tangent. Blinded by short-term gains, I forget
my long-term goals. But, doesn’t everyone deserve his or her crazy moments?
These silly interludes are usually overlooked because not everyone can be
poised and composed all the time.
I’ve been having a few of those lately.
Just sporadic bursts of comical liberation. I am a bit ashamed and remorseful
but not enough to forget that nobody’s judging me for not being serious 24/7.
And whoever is judging, needs to have a stick removed from somewhere down
under. We all say and do things without thinking it through. Imperfections make
us perfect.
“Every pressurized system needs a relief
valve. There has to be a way to reduce the stress, the tension, before it
becomes too much to bare. There has to be a way to find relief because if the
pressure doesn't find a way out, it will make one. It will explode. It's the
pressure we put on ourselves that's the hardest to bare. The pressure to be
better then we already are. The pressure to be better than we think we can be.
It never ever lets up. It just builds and builds and builds.”
Btw watched the news last night. What is
the world coming to!!! We actually have to organize classes to train our kids
in Practical Skills. There’s an actual panic that “basic, hands-on, everyday
dexterity” could become extinct in the future. And we have to save our children
from complete uselessness.
This is what happens when you plonk your
offspring in front of a tele and mollycoddle them!!! There are old people
turning in their graves right now. We should be ashamed!!!
